Show and Tell

Ron Rose showed us a very impressive multimeter from Jameco.com PN645626.  It seems to have all the usual functions with a few unusual:

- non-contact AC voltage detector,

- measures capacitance,

- frequency

- temperatures.

Not a bad deal for 47.45.

Steven Gentner showed a small robot called Surveyor (or SRV-1). It had a Zigbee controller driven from his laptop.  He has it interfaced to his RoboRealm software.  It had some other neat features too, but I can’t read my handwriting. Here is a link to a tutorial on using the SRV-1 with Roborealm.

Terrence Everett demo’d his iCreate robot with an ITX processor installed.  He also is using RoboRealm software with this robot. He’s also installed  his wireless Dlink pan and tilt camera and demonstrated its abilities to pan/tilt, zoom, autofocus etc.
